  29. How can anyone in that situation be expected to voluntarily check into a rehab? They are surrounded by drugs 24/7. And they probably stay high more than they stay sober.
    What people don't know is that after they've slept and eaten some food, they talk differently and they start thinking differently, too.
    If they can have an interview and respond to questions like that, then they still have logic and reasoning skills. And you just have to put them in an environment where they can sober up so that they can start thinking clearly.
    And sometimes, that's how an addict starts his/her sobriety.

  30. And they say that the reason for so much homelessness is because of lack of affordable housing. And they keep passing legislations to build housing for these heavily drug addicted people, and the hosing never gets built and the fund keep disappearing.
    The main reason for so many people living in Skidrow is because of DRUGS, not because of lack of affordable housing.
