Coming back to this after 5 years and a hell of an alcohol and coke addiction. I sit here and I laugh. I wasn't really like any of these guys until last year. My mental health suffered greatly in my addiction. I'm so incredibly fortunate to be alive though. I believe I've finally hit rock bottom and honestly I'm just glad to be able to laugh at myself. I have lots of healing to do. Always remember the opposite of addiction is connection.

If it's a necessity for him to be a productive person of society, then why doesn't society do more to help him become a productive member of it? Because hes an addict? That's not an excuse. Because hes an alcoholic? That's not an excuse. if we're gonna go around and preach that people need to be productive, then why don't we help them? Why don't we help them with their addictions? And I don't just mean taking him to rehab and drop him off or making him go to the NA or the AA meetings.I don't mean throwing them in jail for a couple of days.Why aren't we helping these people that we are demanding to be better than who they are at the current moment.
I also don't want to hear that. You can't help somebody who doesn't want to be helped because that is absolutely correct. You cannot when that's the case. This is where they end is on the streets. You don't pay for them. You don't buy them stuff. If you do it out of the kindness of your heart. Oh, they're not your problem, so what does it matter if they're not productive? If.
Donations are something that people give because they don't want it anymore.And they know that somebody else can use it.That's not costing them any money.Charities are the same thing so.If they are not causing anybody any grief , then why the fuck doesn't matter if you're not going to help them be productive than just let them be.
